UT ECE is Getting a New Home!

Plans are underway to replace ENS with a new state-of-the-art facility to support the growing and changing needs of UT ECE and the Cockrell School of Engineering. The new Engineering Education and Research Center (EERC) will support interdisciplinary research, entrepreneurship, and instructional laboratories and project space to increase hands-on learning opportunities for students.

In the past six years, the Edison Lecture Series has inspired and informed nearly 20,000 middle and high school students in Central Texas. Many students attending the Edison Lecture Series are visiting a college campus for the first time. The engineering exhibits and one-hour lecture are an excellent introduction electrical and computer engineering and the amazing things that engineers create. The University of Texas Solar Vehicles Team is a student organization sponsored by UT ECE and the Cockrell School of Engineering at the University of Texas at Austin.
