About the Edison Lecture Series

The Edison Lecture Series has reached over 24,000 students in Austin and Central Texas over the past eight years. The goal of Edison is to introduce middle and high school students to the potential applications and impacts of electrical engineering on the world.

We seek to show students the positive rewards at of science education by focusing on fun over fundamentals for an afternoon. This gives students a rewarding and positive experience to associate with engineering and science.

Along with an interactive lecture, companies and governmental organizations show up to demonstrate robots, virtual reality, solar cars, green screen video technology, and more in interactive pre-show demonstrations.

Support Edison's Success

The Edison Lecture Series is funded entirely by donations from the local community. Without your support, future students may not be able to experience this educational introduction to modern technology. Your donation can help.
