This BiasBusters Workshop will help ECE undergraduate and graduate students to address implicit bias issues.
This program has an academic tone, focusing on summaries of research evidence into which discussions of experience are woven. Participants will bring these concepts to life through role-playing, based on relevant and real life scenarios. This has proved to be a powerful and effective approach for engaging participants in creating commitments to greater inclusivity.
BiasBusters Workshops at UT Austin are modeled after the BiasBusters @ CMU and Google’s Bias Busting @ Work programs. BiasBusters Workshops are led by members of the Cockrell School of Engineering and College of Natural Sciences communities who have volunteered to be trained as program facilitators.
Current Texas ECE students will receive access details via Canvas.
