Tenure Track Faculty Positions

The Department of Electrical & Computer Engineering has a tenure-track faculty position at the Assistant Professor level with a starting date of Fall 2010. In particular, in an effort to strengthen our capability in Embedded Systems, we are looking for a candidate with a strong research record in one of the following areas:

  • System-Level Design & Prototyping - Architectural synthesis, dependability, models of computation, cyber-physical systems, software-defined radio and wireless sensor networks

  • Computer Architecture - Microarchitecture in relation to compilers, networking and operating systems

  • System-on-Chip Design - Energy efficient design, reconfigurable computing, reliability, security, brain-machine interfaces, digitally assisted analog and image sensors

Successful candidates are expected to supervise graduate students, teach undergraduate and graduate courses, develop a sponsored research program, collaborate with other faculty, and be involved in service to the university and the profession. Priority deadline for applications is December 31, 2009. Earlier submission is strongly encouraged.
