Motorola Regents Chair in Electrical and Computer Engineering

The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at The University of Texas at Austin invites applications for the Motorola Regents Chair in Electrical and Computer Engineering, with preference given to energy, cloud and mobile computing, biology, health care, integrated man-machine interfaces, or related areas.  Candidates should have an internationally recognized record of research and scholarship, and possess the qualities necessary for academic leadership.  The successful applicant will be expected to supervise graduate students, teach undergraduate and graduate classes, develop a sponsored research program, collaborate with other faculty and be involved in service to the university and profession.  This appointment offers outstanding scope for the appointee's individual and collaborative research talents and provides an opportunity for leadership in developing sponsored research programs.  Applicants for this tenured position should have an earned PhD in electrical engineering or a related discipline.
