Step 3 - Complete the ECE Graduate Application online
To complete the ECE Graduate Application, you will need:
- Your University of Texas Electronic Identifier (UTEID) and password. You will receive them via email one to two business days after you submit the ApplyTexas form in Step 2.
- Your academic track. (This is the same as ApplyTexas's "first choice major" and "specific area of interest or specialty within your proposed major.") You may also choose a secondary academic track from the nine tracks offered in UT-ECE, but this is optional.
- The names of two or three UT-ECE professors whose research interests are similar to yours. The faculty directory and the academic track page give details about faculty members and their work.
- Your "Research Interest Keywords," e.g. "mobile wireless networks," "nanoelectronic technology," "alternate energy," etc.
- Current resume. (If your information changes, you can update your resume at any time.)
- Personal Highlight, an accomplishment that you are most proud of and why.
- List of your publications or papers that have been accepted for publication.
- List of related and non-related work experience and the number of years for each.
