Policies for the ECE IT Department.

Personal Computer Systems

With exception to ECE-LRC Laptop Initiative, ECE IT will not provide hardware and software support for computer systems and peripherals that are not part of the UT System. Systems must have a UT Asset Tag or be in the process of being tagged.

Items not supported include:

• Personal Laptops
• Personal Desktops
• Personal Peripherals

If a faculty or staff member needs a system for official university business, ECE-IT will check out a laptop or desktop until one of the following occurs:

• Faculty/staff member no longer needs the system provided
• A permanent system has been provided for the faculty/staff member
• Faculty/staff member is no longer part of the university
