Solaris Servers

The ECE LRC provides 3 Solaris servers. They are all capable of running ECE engineering applications. If you experience any issues with any of these machine please notify a proctor or email help@ece.utexas.edu. Since these machines are remotely available there maybe a number of people on the machine at any given time, so please respect other peoples processes and Nice Your Long Running Applications.
Server Specs
All of the Solaris servers have the following specs:
- Solaris 8 (SunOS 5.8)
- 16 GB ram
- 57 GB swap space
- 4 1.2GHz UltraSPARC processors
The three Solaris servers are named sunapp1 to sunapp3:
sunapp1.ece.utexas.edu sunapp2.ece.utexas.edu sunapp3.ece.utexas.edu
Logging in Remotely
All the servers allow secure shell (SSH) access. Please refer to the remote access documentation for the linux machines for specific instructions.
