Texas ECE PhD student Omar Barrera has been selected as one of the recipients of the Cadence Diversity in Technology Scholarship 2022. The scholarship is part of Cadence’s strategy to increase and support diversity. Awardees are selected based on academic achievements, thoughtful recommendations and drive to shape the future of technology.

Omar is supervised by Dr. Ruochen Lu in UT RF Acoustic Microsystems Group. The group research activities mainly focus on developing chip-scale acoustic and electromagnetic components and microsystems for RF applications.
