Prof. Nina Telang has been named as the recipient of a 2014 Dad's Association Centennial Teaching Fellowship. This fellowship is a very prestigious award and given annually to faculty at UT Austin committed to the teaching of freshman undergraduates. It also comes with a salary supplement.
The award recognizes Nina’s excellent teaching and devotion to our students. Students routinely comment about how much she cares for them and how she helps them figure whether ECE is a good fit for them. She is also an innovator who judiciously uses technology and online material intensively to assist students grasp difficult ideas, absorb concepts presented in problem-solving sessions and gauge student understanding in real time in the classroom. She is also actively engaged with our student organizations.
