Professor Miryung Kim and Former UT ECE Students Win Best Paper Award at ASE 2010

Professor Miryung Kim of UT ECE along with two of her former students, Adam Duley and Chris Spandikow, have received the Best Paper Award at the 25th IEEE/ACM International Conference on Automated Software Engineering for their paper A Program Differencing Algorithm for Verilog HDL.

The ASE conference has become one of the world's premier Software Engineering venues. Software engineering is concerned with the analysis, design, implementation, testing, and maintenance of large software systems. Automated software engineering focuses on how to automate or partially automate these tasks to achieve significant improvements in quality and productivity.

Dr. Kim is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at The University of Texas at Austin. Adam Duley and Chris Spandikow are UT ECE graduates who are now hardware engineers at ARM and IBM.
