Texas ECE Student Chang Liu Wins Best Student Paper Award at IEEE EPEPS 2019

Texas ECE graduate student Chang Liu has won the Best Student Paper award at the 28th IEEE Conference on Electrical Performance of Electronic Packaging and Systems (EPEPS) held at Montreal Canada, Oct. 6-9. Chang’s paper was titled “A reduced-domain layered-medium integral-equation method for electronic packages”.  The paper, which was co-authored by Prof. Ali Yilmaz, describes an algorithm that lowers the computational complexity of network parameter extraction by using Green’s functions that improve matrix conditioning and reduce number of unknowns.

The IEEE EPEPS is the premier international conference on advanced and emerging issues in electrical modeling, analysis and design of electronic interconnections, packages and systems that is jointly sponsored by the IEEE Electronic Packaging, Microwave Theory and Techniques, and Antennas and Propagation Societies.
