Turn the Future On

Texas Engineering As a world-class establishment we have a lot to live up to, and we want to be even better. The ECE Department has 66 full-time faculty and 20 part-time faculty who bring state-of-the-art research, development, and design experience into the classroom.

The department has a great student body that organizes itself with several student societies—HKN, IEEE, IEEE Computer Society/Power Society/Communications Society and Engineers Without Borders. Our staff is second to none and work extremely hard to ensure that faculty and students have necessary and sufficient access to required equipment, facilities, and advising resources to meet their varied academic needs. We are very fortunate to have pro-active groups such as these as part of the Department and we look forward to continually improving our student-staff-faculty interactions.

We are actively involved with industry-oriented Weekend Master's Degree Programs in Software Engineering, Circuit Design, and Engineering Management. These programs allow working professionals to get an advanced degree in two years while working by attending classes only one weekend per month on the UT Campus.

Our full time graduate program offers 11 research areas with top researchers across a wide variety of research topics. With over 600 graduate students, you will interact with the top students of today and brightest researchers of tomorrow. To find out more about our research facilities explore here!
