Abstract
We are in the midst of a digital revolution. It is a result of multiple levels of innovation such at the transistor, integrated circuit, microprocessor and digital signal processor. We have seen communications revolutionized by digital signal processors. We are seeing entertainment being revolutionized at this time. The question is simple: Is there a third wave of this revolution? Or are we at the end of the digital revolution? This talk will give a brief history of how we got here and then spend time discussing what might be the third wave of the digital revolution. Perhaps a quick look on what is still beyond the third wave will be included.
