Sreenath Unnikrishnan currently is the manager of the Systems and Applications engineering team in the Integrated Automotive Products group at Texas Instruments. He graduated with a PhD from UT, where he spent four wonderful years at UT Microelectronics Research part of the time at the Pickle Research Campus. Sreenath joined Texas Instruments semiconductor process and device research division to work on Silicon on Insulator (SOI) technology. In his 19 years at TI, he has had the opportunity to work in many different areas of analog/power integrated device and circuit design. He managed the design teams developing audio power integrated circuits and was instrumental in the single chip designs that moved power efficient Class-D topologies to mass market audio amplifiers. He is currently involved in the specification and application of automotive safety mixed signal controllers and in design methodologies for ICs used in safety critical applications. He has been granted seven US patents in the areas of semiconductor device and circuits and has 10 refereed journal and conference publications.
Mr. Unnikrishnan lives with his wife and daughter in Allen, TX. His hobbies are travel with family, personal finance, bicycling (he occasionally uses the same bicycle he used to commute from the campus to the Pickle research campus over 20 years ago).
