Welcome to the ECE Undergraduate Program!

The ECE Department at UT Austin is one of the finest engineering programs in the world. This isn't just our opinion. It's fact. U.S. News and World Report ranks UT Austin's undergraduate computer engineering program as the seventh best in the country; the undergraduate electrical engineering program is ranked as the eleventh best program in the country. As a world-class establishment we have a lot to live up to, and we want to be even better. We have a new undergraduate curriculum in place and we are working toward a new program in Software Engineering. The ECE Department has 56 full-time faculty and 21 part-time faculty who bring state-of-the-art research, development, and design experience into the classroom. Please take advantage of the information we have provided on these web pages, but if you cannot find the information you information need, please feel free to contact our ECE Undergraduate Office staff.
