Both electrical engineering and computer engineering students must choose two technical cores, denoted as primary and secondary. The primary technical core must be from the appropriate list below. Electrical engineering students must choose their primary technical core from the Electrical Engineering Technical Cores list; Computer engineering students must choose their primary techincal core from the Computer Engineering Technical Cores list. For the secondary technical core, students may choose any technical core, including Academic Enrichment.

*Theses are pre-approved courses towards technical core electives and required courses; an upperdivision course substitution can be petitioned with approval from a student's faculty mentor and the Undergradaute Advising Offices.

Technical Core Selections

All students will receive a Secure Academic Note (SAN) after they have applied to Major Sequence to submit their official sections for primary and secondary technical cores. Students MUST reply to this SAN to have their degree profiles updated. 

Technical Core Changes/Requests

Students can change their Technical Core at any time before their last semester on enrollment. To change/select your Technical Core please e-mail the following information:
