Hello !!
I am a PhD student at the ECE department at the University of Texas at Austin. Throughout my doctoral studies, I have been working on Fault-Tolerant Computer Architectures under the supervision of Dr. Margarida F. Jacome and Dr. Derek Chiou. My research interests are fault-tolerant computer architecture and microarchitecture, fast and accurate computer system simulation and performance analysis and optimization. The title of my dissertation is Fault-Tolerance Techniques for Tiled-Dataflow Architectures.
Before coming to Austin, I received my MS in Computer Engineering from Northeastern University, Boston, MA. While at Northeastern I worked on performance analysis and compiler optimizations for the Intel Itanium processor. My advisor was Dr. Waleed M. Meleis. During the summer of 2002 I did an internship at Sun Microsystems Labs. I developed a performance analysis algorithm for Sun's high performance microprocessor. During summer 2006 I interned at Advanced Micro Devices in Sunnyvale, CA. I participated in the design of the performance monitoring hardware module of AMD's high performance microprocessors. I returned to AMD in fall 2007 to work on workload analysis and power-management related stuff.
I received a BSc in Computer Engineering and Informatics from the University of Patras, Greece in June 2000. In Patras I also worked part-time for the Computer Technology Institute as an undergraduate engineer.
Enjoy your visit !!
