Multi Mode Limited Feedback MIMO Systems
Multi mode MIMO systems vary the number of substreams dynamically based on channel knowledge - this flexibility results in additional transmit diversity. Multi mode precoded systems use quantized channel knowledge to select the number of substreams and the precoding matrix (generalizing the concept of antenna subset selection) and customise the transmission to the eigen structure of the channel. Our results show that substantial gains in diversity is acheived using multi mode precoded MIMO systems with limited feedback.
