In order to use Linux servers and workstations, you must have an ECE Linux account. All ECE undergraduate, graduate students, faculty, visiting faculty, and ECE staff qualify to have an ECE Linux account. All non-ECE students currently enrolled in any ECE course are also eligible for an ECE account. To enable your account, please visit https://utdirect.utexas.edu/apps/ece/db/acme/.
Post-Docs, Visiting Researchers, Official Visitors
The applications available on the Linux and Windows environments are reserved for academic and academic research only. Therefore, to qualify for either account, you must be enrolled in a EE course or have a faculty appointment. All other requests will be reviewed on a case by case basis by ECE-IT staff.
