Dr. Asad Bawa is a Professor of Practice in the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department at the University of Texas at Austin. He earned his B.S. in 2003 and M.S. in 2006 from The University of Texas at Austin. While working full time, he re-enrolled at UT and worked with Dr. Nur Touba to complete his Ph.D in Electrical Engineering in 2017.

With over 20 years of industrial experience in chip design, Dr. Bawa has held positions at prominent companies such as Apple Inc., Samsung, and Magma Design Automation. Currently serving as a Physical Design Manager at Apple Inc., he brings a wealth of expertise from both academia and industry to his role.
