Alumna Wei Ye Receives 2022 EDAA Outstanding Dissertation Award

Texas ECE alumna Wei Ye has been selected to receive the 2022 EDAA Outstanding Dissertation Award by the European Design and Automation Association (EDAA) for her dissertation "Design for Manufacturability and Reliability through Learning and Optimization" in the category of "New directions in logic, physical design and CAD for analog/mixed-signal, nano-scale and emerging technologies (such as quantum-, neuromorphic- or biological computing)."

EDAA pursues educational, scientific and technical activities to the benefit of the international community of electronic design and design automation.

Wei received her PhD from Texas ECE in 2020 under the supervision of Dr. David Z. Pan and the B.Eng. degree in electrical engineering from Zhejiang University, in 2015. She is currently a senior research scientist at Facebook Reality Labs.

Wei is the third PhD from Dr. Pan's UT Design Automation Laboratory to receive the EDAA Outstanding Dissertation Award. Most recently, Meng Li received the award in 2018, and Bei Yu received the award in 2014
