Bovik, Wang and Sheikh Receive Best Paper Award for 2009 from IEEE Signal Processing Society

Professor Al Bovik and UT ECE alumni, Zhou Wang and Hamid Sheikh, have received the IEEE Signal Processing Society's Best Paper Award for 2009 for their paper entitled "Image quality assessment: from error visibility to structural similarity" published in IEEE Transactions on Image Processing, Volume 13, Issue 4, April 2004. This award is given retrospectively to the best paper in the Society's journals from the previous five years.
