PhD Student Jack Kramer Receives IEEE International Frequency Control Symposium Best Student Paper Award

Jack Kramer

Texas ECE PhD student Jack Kramer has received the Best Student Paper Award from the IEEE International Frequency Control Symposium (IFCS) 2023 for his work on "Thin-Film Lithium Niobate Acoustic Resonator with High Q of 237 and k2 of 5.1% at 50.74 GHz.” Jack is supervised by Prof. Ruochen Lu in the UT RF Acoustic Microsystems Group.

IEEE IFCS aims to highlight manufacturing methods and technologies that realize emerging products in MEMS resonator-based devices, quartz micro-clocks, and advanced atomic frequency standards. The 2023 IFCS was held in Toyama, Japan, from May 16-19, 2023.

Kramer received his BS in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from The University of New Mexico in 2021 and joined Texas ECE in August 2021.
