Prof. Christine Julien Receives 2018 Lockheed Martin Excellence in Engineering Teaching Award

Prof. Christine Julien of Texas ECE has been named the 2018 recipient of the Lockheed Martin Aeronautics Company Award for Excellence in Engineering Teaching. Lockheed Martin has sponsored the Lockheed Martin Award for Excellence in Engineering Teaching to honor a faculty member for their exceptional teaching since 1956. The award recognizes a faculty member of the Cockrell School with the rank of Professor who, like Christine, has shown to be outstanding in the field of engineering teaching.

Christine Julien hold the Annis & Jack Bowen Professorship in Engineering in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at The University of Texas at Austin, which she joined in 2004. She is the director of the Mobile and Pervasive Computing Group, where her research focuses on the intersection of software engineering and dynamic, unpredictable networked environments. In 2015, she received the Regents Outstanding Teaching Award, the highest teaching honor bestowed by the University of Texas System Board of Regents.
