Undergraduate Advising Office Named 2024 NACADA Outstanding Advising Program

The undergraduate advising office of the Chandra Family Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering has been named the 2024 Outstanding Advising Program by NACADA.

NACADA, The Global Community for Academic Advising, is the premier Association for student success through academic advising in higher education. It promotes and supports quality academic advising in institutions of higher education to enhance the educational development of students. NACADA provides a forum for discussion, debate, and the exchange of ideas pertaining to academic advising through numerous activities and publications. NACADA also serves as an advocate for effective academic advising by providing a Consulting and Speaker Service and funding for Research related to academic advising.

The team will be recognized at the 2024 NACADA Annual Conference in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania in late October 2024.

The Texas ECE undergraduate advising office is Undergraduate Advising Coordinator Brittney Outlaw, Student Program Coordinator Libby McSwain, and Senior Academic Advisor Stacy Pederson, and formerly included Associate Academic Advisor Nikki Rodelas Morris.
