Cheng Guo is an assistant professor and Texas Instruments/Kilby Fellow in the Chandra Family Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at The University of Texas at Austin.
He earned his Ph.D. in Applied Physics from Stanford University and his B.S. in Physics from Peking University. After graduation, he continued as a postdoctoral researcher at Stanford University.
Prof. Guo's research focuses on photonics and optoelectronics, spanning fundamental research in theoretical photonics and topological materials to applications in imaging, sensing, computing, energy, and quantum systems. His work emphasizes the interplay between fundamental physics and applied photonics.
