In celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month, we sat down with Madeline Vega to find out more about her, her time in Texas ECE, and what she is doing now.

Nitika Mago is a Senior Manager for Balancing Operations Planning at Electric Reliability Council Of Texas (ERCOT). She received her M.S. in electrical and computer engineering from Texas ECE in 2007. We sat down with Nitika to talk about what she is doing now, and her time in Texas ECE.

Simeon Bochev received his B.S. in electrical engineering from Texas ECE in 2012. He went on to receive a Master of Science, Finance from the McCombs School of Business at UT Austin and an MBA from Harvard Business School. Rudy D. Garza is the President & CEO at CPS Energy. He received his BSEE from Texas ECE in 1996. Currently he serves on the External Advisory Committee of Texas ECE. We sat down with Rudy to find out more about his time in Texas ECE and his successful career in industry.

Shahrzad Mirkhani received her PhD in Computer Engineering from Texas ECE in 2014. After serving as a VP of Engineering in the startup Bigstream, she recently joined Meta as a software engineer. We sat down with Shahrzad to learn more about her career in engineering and her time at UT Austin.

Maria Cortez received her BS in Electrical Engineering from Texas ECE. After holding several leadership positions at Texas Instruments, she joined Advanced Energy as the Senior Vice President, Industrial Power Products in May 2022.
