Prof. Lizy John of Texas ECE has been selected as a recipient of a Fulbright Specialist Program Award. She will complete a project at Universidade do Porto - Faculdade de Engenharia that aims to exchange knowledge and establish partnerships benefiting participants, institutions, and communities both in the U.S. and overseas through a variety of educational and training activities within computer science and information technology.

Lizy Kurian John holds the Truchard Foundation Chair in Engineering in the Chandra Family Department of Electrical & Computer Engineering at The University of Texas at Austin. John was named a Fellow of IEEE in 2009, a Fellow of the National Academy of Inventors in 2020, and a Fellow of the Association for Computing Machinery in 2020.
