PhD Student Linxiao Shen Receives IEEE Solid-State Circuit Society Predoctoral Achievement Award

Texas ECE PhD student Linxiao Shen has been named the recipient of the 2018-2019 IEEE Solid-State Circuit Society (SSCS) Predoctoral Achievement Award. The award is the highest honor for PhD students awarded by the IEEE SSCS. Awards are made on the basis of academic record and promise, and quality of publications. The award was presented at the International Solid-State Circuit Conference (ISSCC) on February 17, 2019 in San Francisco, California.

The IEEE Solid-State Circuits Society was formed in 1997, and it focuses on integrated-circuit career opportunities and education.

Linxiao Shen is a fifth-year PhD student at Texas ECE and is supervised by Dr. Nan Sun. His primary research interest is low power sensor interface circuit and system design, especially for biomedical applications.

This is the second year in a row a Texas ECE student has won this highly competitive award. Dr. Shaolan Li won 2017-2018 Predoctoral Achievement Award.
