Texas ECE professor Dr. Mikhail Belkin has been elected to Fellow of the Optical Society of America (OSA). Prof. Belkin was elected for “for seminal contributions to photonics technology, spectroscopy and nonlinear optics in mid-infrared and terahertz spectral range.”

Prof. Ananth Dodabalpur and his research team have recently published findings on his work involoving inkjet printed electronic devices as a low-cost, high throughput manufacturing method for electronic systems and circuits.

Prof. Deji Akinwande has been appointed as editor for IEEE Electron Device Letters (EDL). EDL is a highly regarded publication  in the broad field of electron devices and is the flagship journal of the IEEE Electron Devices Society.

The Television Academy announced today that Alan Bovik and his team of former students and collaborators will be honored with a 2015 Primetime Engineering Emmy Award for Outstanding Achievement in Engineering Development.

Texas ECE graduate student Xiaoqing Xu has received the Best in Session Award at the 2015 SRC TECHCON Conference held in Austin, Texas on September 21-22.

The National Science Foundation (NSF) will provide $81 million over five years to support 16 sites and a coordinating office as part of a new National Nanotechnology Coordinated Infrastructure (NNCI).

The Texas Exes have named Muhammad Mustafa Hussain as a recipient of the Outstanding Young Texas Ex Award. Hussain received his MS in 2004 and his PhD in 2005.
