Texas ECE Student Ahmet Budak Receives ADI Outstanding Student Designer Award

Texas ECE PhD student Ahmet Budak has been selected by Analog Devices, Inc. (ADI) to receive the 2021 Outstanding Student Designer Award. The award is presented annually by ADI at the IEEE International Solid-State Circuits Conference (ISSCC). Since 1997, this award has recognized excellence in system-level integrated circuit architectures or in analog, mixed-signal, or digital integrated circuit design.

PhD student Jiaqi Gu Wins First Place in ACM Student Research Competition Grand Finals

Texas ECE PhD student Jiaqi Gu won the First Place at the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM) Student Research Competition Grand Finals (Graduate Category). His research competition title is "Light in Artificial Intelligence: Efficient Neurocomputing with Optical Neural Networks."  The award will be presented at the annual ACM Awards Banquet.

Eric Feng and Charles Lundquist III Inducted Into Texas ECE Academy of Distinguished Alumni

Texas ECE has inducted alumni Eric Feng and Charles 'Charlie' M. Lundquist III into the 2021 class of the Texas ECE Academy of Distinguished Alumni.

The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering established the Academy of Distinguished Alumni to recognize distinguished alumni who are dedicated engineering professionals, leaders of industries, and avid supporters of higher education.
