In case of bad weather, event will be held in the Texas Innovation center in EER

Prof. Evans invites all UT engineering students, alumni, staff and faculty for weekly coffee hours on Fridays 12-2pm during the fall and spring semesters at the EER O's Cafe outdoor seating in favorable weather or the Texas Innovation Center (EER 2.518) otherwise.  Coffee hours provide a comfortable space for undergraduate and graduate students to talk about what’s on their mind and help each other.  Common topics include career goals, academic specializations, graduate studies, work-life balance, student organizations, finding internships and permanent positions, and undergraduate and graduate research.  Coffee hours have been fostering social connections and well-being for 20 years, and 20-30 students and alumni participate each week.  Based on coffee hour discussions, Prof. Evans has been updating his suggestions for current and prospective graduate students.
