Prof. Milos Gligoric receives NSF’s Computer Research Initiation Initiative (CRII) grant

Prof. Milos Gligoric has received a grant under the National Science Foundation’s Computer and Information Science and Engineering (CISE) Research Initiation Initiative (CRII) program.

The award is established with the goal of encouraging research independence immediately upon obtaining applicant’s first academic position after receipt of the PhD. The grant is designed to support untenured faculty or research scientists in their first two years in a primary academic position.

Recipients of this award receive up to $175,000 for a period of two years. Funds could be utilized to aid research and to support graduate students for the stipulated time.

The CISE Research Initiation Initiative (CRII) is part of CISE's strategy to increase its investments in the development and growth of the research capabilities of future generations of computer and information scientists and engineers, including computational and data scientists and engineers.

Milos Gligoric is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at The University of Texas at Austin. He has a PhD from the Department of Computer Science at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He received his Masters degree in Software Engineering at the School of Electrical Engineering from the University of Belgrade in Serbia. His research interests are software engineering and formal methods with a focus on improving software quality via software testing and software model checking.
