Jonathan M. Baker is an assistant professor in the Chandra Family Department of Computer and Electrical Engineering at The University of Texas at Austin and a Fellow of the Advanced Micro Devices Chair in Computer Engineering. His research focus is quantum computer architecture, with an emphasis on the practical execution of quantum error correction, however his interests are across the entire quantum computing stack including compilation, synthesis, multi-radix architectures, and error mitigation, for example.

Prior to joining the University of Texas, he recently served as a research scientist at the Duke Quantum Center and earned his Ph.D from the University of Chicago.
