Vijay Janapa Reddi

Assistant Professor

Vijay Janapa Reddi is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at The University of Texas at Austin.

Prior to joining The University of Texas he was a researcher at AMD Research. His research interests are broadly in the area of computer systems. He is specifically interested in applying his background and expertise in runtime compilers, computer architecture and virtual machines to improve processor and system performance, reduce power consumption and increase device reliability.

Dr. V. J. Reddi received his Ph.D. in Computer Science from Harvard University in 2010 under the supervision of David Brooks, Michael D. Smith and Gu-Yeon Wei. He received a M.S. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Colorado at Boulder while under the supervision of Prof. Dan Connors and he has his B.S. in Computer Engineering from Santa Clara University in California while working under Prof. Figueira.
