Aadil Waseem Named Provost's Early Career Fellow

Aadil Waseem, postdoctoral fellow in the Chandra Family Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, has been named a Provost's Early Career Fellow by The University of Texas at Austin.

The purpose of theprogram allows early career researchers, postdoctoral fellows, and graduating PhD students to develop and pursue research and teaching topics upon which a future academic career can be built. 

Aadil completed his Ph.D. in the Department of Physics at Chonnam National University in February 2022 and subsequently joined the Chandra Family Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering in the Cockrell School of Engineering. His research has been dedicated to the growth and characterization of III-N and beta-Ga2O3 based nanostructures, utilizing cutting-edge AIXTRON MOCVD technology. He has explored the applications of these semiconductor materials in power electronics, energy harvesting devices, water-splitting, and LEDs. He has contributed to over 30 scientific research articles, furthering the advancement of knowledge in his field.

His research is in colloboration with Dr. Xiuling Li of Texas ECE.
