Prof. Vijay Janapa Reddi receives the 2016 IEEE TCCA Young Computer Architect Award

Prof. Vijay Janapa Reddi was awarded the 2016 IEEE TCCA Young Computer Architect Award in recognition of outstanding research contributions in mobile computing and resilient architectures. He will formally receive the award at the 2016 43rd International Symposium on Computer Architecture (ISCA) later this month. ISCA will be held in Seoul, Korea this year.

The IEEE TCCA Young Computer Architect Award recognizes outstanding research contributions by an individual in the field of Computer Architecture, who received his/her PhD degree within the last 6 years. The award is administered by the IEEE Computer Society.

Prof. Janapa Reddi is an Assistant Professor in Texas ECE at The University of Texas at Austin. He received his Ph.D. in Computer Science from Harvard University in 2010 and his M.S in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Colorado at Boulder. His research interests include system architecture and software design and implementation to address performance computing systems. He has received several accolades for his work in the area of Computer Architecture. He was also the recipient of the Intel Early Career Award.
